Terms and Conditions
Welcome to Pax Custom Packaging LTD. We help UK businesses with custom boxes and printed packaging that look the part and arrive on time. When you use our website, upload artwork, ask for a quote or place an order, you are agreeing to the terms on this page.
If you need help, our live chat appears on the bottom corner of every page on desktop and mobile. You can also share your brief on the Get a Quote page and we will come back to you quickly.
1. Who we are and how to contact us
We are a UK based packaging supplier specialising in custom boxes, printed packaging and branded cartons for British businesses. You can reach us by live chat, telephone or email. Contact details are shown on our Contact us page. We work throughout the year and pause only for recognised United Kingdom public holidays.
2. Using our website
When you browse or place an order you accept these terms. We update them when needed. The version shown here always applies. If you continue to use the site after any update it means you agree to the new version.
3. Ownership of website content
All words, product images, dielines, design templates and logos on this website belong to Pax Custom Packaging LTD. Please do not copy, reuse or adapt our material without written permission.
4. Placing an order
Orders can be placed by customers who are eighteen or over and are able to enter a binding agreement under the laws of England and Wales. Please provide correct contact and delivery details. Misuse of the site, false information or unlawful activity may lead to cancellation of service.
5. Quotes, prices and payment
Prices are shown in British Pounds (GBP) and do not include VAT. Any applicable VAT will be added to your invoice at the current GOV.UK rate. Quotes are based on your specification and may change if the specification changes. We begin production when full payment is received through a secure method. If invoice terms are agreed, payment is due by the date on the invoice.
6. Artwork and print specification
To achieve consistent results please submitted artwork must be in CMYK format and at least 300 DPI. Include bleeds, trim and safe margins. Preferred formats are PDF, AI or EPS with fonts outlined and images embedded. Files prepared at low resolution, set in RGB or missing bleeds can affect sharpness, colour and registration. Pax Custom Packaging LTD is not responsible for results caused by incorrect files.
7. Proofs, approvals and colour
We will send a digital proof before printing. Check spelling, logos, scale, positions and finishing notes with care. Once you approve the proof the job moves straight to production and cannot be changed.
Colour on screens is not the same as colour on board. Differences arise from inks, coatings, laminations and material tone. If exact colour is essential, ask for a Pantone colour match or a printed hard proof before full production. These services may carry an extra charge and will extend lead time. After you approve a proof, responsibility for artwork content and colour choices rests with you.
8. Materials, finishing and realistic tolerances
Commercial packaging allows small differences in colour, grain, board shade and finish. Dimensions can vary slightly with humidity, glue and board grade. Varnish and lamination can change the appearance of colour. These effects are normal in printed packaging and are not faults.
9. Customer responsibilities
Please make sure your files are complete and correct before you send them. Check spelling, barcodes, legal marks, nutrition panels where relevant, safety icons and any warnings. Do not submit content that is unlawful, offensive, misleading or that infringes another person’s rights. Pax Custom Packaging LTD may refuse artwork that does not meet these standards.
10. Cancellations
You may cancel within four hours of approving the proof. A twenty percent fee applies to cover pre press time and scheduling. After twenty four hours the fee is fifty percent because time and materials are committed. Orders cannot be cancelled once printing or shipping has started.
11. Production and delivery timeframes
Lead times begin after final approval of artwork and specification and after payment clears.
Standard turnaround is typically 10 to 15 business days
Expedited orders are typically 7 to 10 business days
Corrugated stock orders are typically 13 to 16 business days
Rigid box orders are typically 14 to 17 business days
Orders may ship from our UK or overseas production facilities, depending on specifications.
Delivery times depend on destination and courier performance. We will always aim to meet requested dates. Courier delays, customs checks, weather and other events outside our reasonable control can affect delivery. For deliveries outside the United Kingdom, the customer is responsible for duties and import taxes.
12. Quantity allowance
Print runs may vary slightly. A difference of up to five per cent above or below the ordered quantity is normal in packaging manufacture. If you must receive an exact count, please allow roughly ten percent extra when you place the order.
13. Returns and reprints
We check orders before dispatch. If you believe there is a manufacturing fault, tell us within two working days of delivery and include clear photographs. If a genuine fault is confirmed we will reprint the order at no cost. Refunds are not offered for minor colour, material or finish variation within normal tolerances. To qualify for a reprint you must return at least ninety nine percent of the items within ten business days. Rush fees are not refundable once production begins.
14. Risk and title
Risk passes on delivery to the address you provided. Title passes when full payment is received.
15. Tooling, dielines and intellectual property
Cutting formes, plates, screens and other tooling created for your order are managed and stored by Pax Custom Packaging LTD and remain our property unless agreed in writing. Artwork that you supply remains yours. Artwork, dielines and structural design created by us remain ours until paid for in full and may remain ours thereafter where this is set out in our quotation.
16. Prohibited content and lawful use
We will not produce content that is unlawful, abusive, discriminatory or that infringes third party rights. We reserve the right to decline any order that does not meet our standards or legal duties.
17. Limitation of liability
Our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. Pax Custom Packaging LTD is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss including loss of profit, data or opportunity.
18. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold Pax Custom Packaging LTD harmless from claims and costs arising from the files, designs and instructions you provide or from misuse of our website or services.
